🌟 "When a study trip is hands-on and not a shopping experience."
The master candidates at the UZH European and Asian Business Management ❘ University of Zurich program (EABM) embarked on a remarkable GEMBA* experience in the enchanting city of Paris, where we delved into the heart of the French #luxurygoods industry. Our mission? To gain hands-on insights and real-world exposure.
🤝 Our journey began with assignments at RESAP PARIS and the iconic le19M Chanel, Maison Montex, where we were immersed in the #luxury craftsmanship and business operations.
You would agree with me, that to prepare #youngprofessionals for the real business world, we need them out of their comfort zones and into the realm of reality. However, our quest for knowledge extended beyond the realms of business. We embraced diversity through a delightful Chinese hot pot joint dinner, a culinary adventure that served as a metaphor for understanding different tastes and, embracing the value of #diversity in both business and life.
🚀 One of the highlights of our trip was a behind-the-scenes visit to the Cartier flagship store, where we discovered what luxury client service truly entails. The experience was eye-opening and emphasized the significance of impeccable customer service in the world of #luxurybrands.
We would like to extend our gratitude to MAISON MINUIT PARIS Anhly Colin Roblique and Nathalie Colin for making this exclusive study trip possible for our cohort of aspiring young professionals. Your support was instrumental in making this immersive experience a reality.
🎓The European and Asian Business Management program, offered by the UZH Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics at the University of Zurich, is recognized for its excellence in providing a #crosscultural perspective that acts as a bridge between Europe and #Asia. It's these experiences that will ultimately shape us into well-rounded professionals who can thrive in the international business arena.
*#gemba (現場) is the Japanese term for “actual place,” any place where value-creating work actually occurs.
